When the states began to cap this interest, what do the Credit card companies do? They move their offices to a state that doesn’t cap, which then, allows them to continue charging these mafia-like % rates to get consumers stuck with this debt and they forever make their money.

Now Barack is working to cap their interest rates, and what do corporations like Citibank do? They begin their lobbying tactics…ahhh…the wonders of corporate lobbying. Always seeming to be able to buy someone off with their billions of dollars they spend each year just to lobby. The worse part about this now, is that we have given them bailout money to keep them from going under…oh hail to corporate welfare..

So lets break this down. We give a corporation tax-payer money so they can turn around and lobby our congress to fuck us some more. That’s wonderful. We are getting fucked with our own money. Good Job guys…well played out.

I understand a lot of people are going to say..”well they signed the contract.” Or “They can charge what they want because it was their money that they loaned to you.” These are the talking points of the right, but the fact remains the same. It isn’t right for a company to treat it’s customers in this fashion. “Borrow money from me, and I’ll get you stuck in a rut so long that your grandchildren will be paying it back.” This is what they want.

I know of lots of people that are close to being maxed out…miss a payment by ONE day, and get charged 75$+ in late fees and THEN they get charged sometimes 200$ in over-charge fees BECAUSE of the late fee. Wow…that’s completely ridiculous. one day and you have to pay almost 300 dollars for that money just to get back to where you were the day before. That’s insane, and one of the reasons this country is in the shape it’s in today.

Granted. I think people rely on credit waaaay too much, and people should stop borrowing money all together. If you don’t have the money for something, then DON’T FUCKING BUY IT. I do not put all of the fault on the banks. Some of the blame lies with the consumer trying to “keep up with the jones’” That being said, I still do not believe it’s right for a company to do that to their customers.

um…so we are going to use Nixons excuse? I’m the president..therefore it is not illegal? If a lawyer tells me I can run a red light, and I do so…could I now use this as an excuse to not be prosecuted for running this stop light? I think not. This is a horrible precedent to be set. The people torturing knew what they were doing was wrong. It is absolutely against the law, and here is the law:

This opinion interprets the federal criminal prohibition against torture codified at 18 U.S.C. §§ 2340-2340A. It supersedes in its entirety the August 1, 2002 opinion of this Office entitled Standards of Conduct under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2340-2340A.

That statute prohibits conduct “specifically intended to inflict severe physical or mental pain or suffering.” This opinion concludes that “severe” pain under the statute is not limited to “excruciating or agonizing” pain or pain “equivalent in intensity to the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure, impairment of bodily functions, or even death.”

The statute also prohibits certain conduct specifically intended to cause “severe physical suffering” distinct from “severe physical pain.”

All the facts out of the way. We can not allow anyone to get in the way of justice. Every single person involved in the horrendous acts committed during the Bush Administration or ANY administration for that matter should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. As the courts always say…ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. The only way that we can keep people from doing this in the future is to prosecute those that took part in it, either directly or indirectly. If they knew about it and did nothing they should be prosecuted as an accomplice to a crime. This is the way it works. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

Also, in addition to all of those prosecutions taking place, we then need to prosecute Barack Obama for Obstruction of Justice for trying to keep the course of law from taking place. I am dead serious about that. I appreciate what he is trying to do, but there is no high road to take when it comes to these horrendous acts perpetrated by this country.

These things can not be taken lightly. This country is better than this and we should act as though we are. We would no more like our men in uniform to have to go through these types of “interrogation techniques”, than the family members of those that we tortured and even killed. There have been a few cases in which prisoners were actually tortured to death at our prisons. This is not ok, and I firmly believe at this point that Barack Obama is committing a crime right along with everyone else and should be investigated and put to trial for this complete obliteration of this nations laws and moral standing.

This is something that should outrage anyone. If not…ask yourselves these questions. Would you like it if your children were hanged upside down until their legs turned black from lack of blood? Would you like it if your children were forced in to a box of scorpions and biting ants, and you had to be nearby and hear them screaming in agony? That is what waterboarding is, only it is stopped before death occurs and then they do it again.

If you answered yes to these questions, then you should call for the investigation and prosecution of all individuals involved, especially those that gave the orders, which include George Bush, Dick Cheney, Alberto Gonzales, just to name the most known names.

For example, you have a kid at school that goes around bullying everyone that is smaller than him, and beating up on those that dislike him for this reason. Someone hits the bully in the face, so the bully pulls out a gun and shoots him. Then on the other hand you have a guy that gets along with everyone. Always has a smile on his face and talks to people about disagreements rather than “throwing bones”(as they say). Which guy is going to get more respect and which guy is going to get the most out of everyone. The one that tries to force agenda’s or the one that tries to negotiate them? I don’t think I have to answer that for you.

This is the simple fact. Barack is restoring dignity to this country. If this is the only thing that he does during his whole presidency, then his presidency could be considered fairly successful.

In my opinion, the right dislikes the ideal of getting along with other countries that may have ideological differences but essentially wish the same, because they can use those leaders as a “boogey-man”, which allows the disintegration of our constitutional rights, and rights as human beings on this planet. We don’t need any more boogey men…we need peace, and that is what negotiations can bring if done correctly, and in my personal opinion, that is exactly what Obama is doing.

You notice the term “gear up?” That to me means he is wanting to arm himself against the government and that protesting is not the way..he is suggesting they need to take it by force. This goes right along with the post I made earlier about this tea party thing turning in to something fairly violent.

Ned, I take NOTHING for granted. I watch their voting records very close. If you did as much research as I did on the matter, you wouldn’t make the comment that “they’ve all got to go”.

It is the current President, his administration as well as members of congress such as Charlie Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and the “usual suspects” that have absolutely no regard for the Constitution.

While I don’t agree with the bonuses given to Executives of banks we bailed out, it is the aforementioned members of Congress that further shredded the Constitution today by voting to tax these folks at AIG by 90%, that had contracts approved by this administration on February 11th 2009. A flagrant violation of the Constitution of these great United States.

If you are going to rant, at least know what you are talking about when you do so.

This is a complete fabrication of the truth drawn up by the wealthy people that have started this Tea Party. This is what the constitution states regarding where the money will go:

Section 9 – Limits on Congress

The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person.

The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

(No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.) (Section in parentheses clarified by the 16th Amendment.)

No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.

No Preference shall be given by any Regulation of Commerce or Revenue to the Ports of one State over those of another: nor shall Vessels bound to, or from, one State, be obliged to enter, clear, or pay Duties in another.

No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State.

Notice the portion of that in Bold. It says “…No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but(except) in consequence of appropriations made by law…” This simply means that they cannot pull money out of the treasury without first voting on it, and if it is voted on it, they must provide receipts for all money taken out. This, actually was not done under Bush’s watch, but is being done under Obama’s. Bush gave out his Bail-out money to the financial sector, with absolutely no oversight and no way of tracking where and what the money was being used for. This means that Bush’s treasure Secretary actually violated the constitution, whereas Obama is not…..disagree with the money that is being given, to whom, and how much, but do not make false statements about something being unconstitutional.

And then here is The 16th ammendment:

Amendment 16 – Status of Income Tax Clarified. Ratified 2/3/1913. Note History

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Amendment 17 – Senators Elected by Popular Vote. Ratified 4/8/1913. History

I don’t think I have to explain this, and here it is again in a little more detail….Article 1 section 8:

Like it or not..this is our constitution. You cannot say it is unconstitutional to tax a multi-billionaire at any % of his income above a certain amount. Also..you must realize that Obama isn’t raising taxes on the Uber-wealthy…he is simply rolling back the Bush Tax cuts, which shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

I will tell you this…given all the stuff I’ve said against the Tea Partier comments, thusfar…is that I do not agree with the way that Obama is doing things so far. He is not going far enough…he is basically doing what Bush did, but on a less conceited level. I didn’t agree with Bush when he signed off on giving bail-outs to the financial sector, and I do not agree with Obama doing it either. They should fall just like the rest of any poorly run business, then they should be investigated as to how long they knew that this was going to happen. They had to have known.

I do not have to follow Rush Limbaugh to know that Obama is the worst president that american have ever had. He surpasses Jimmy Carter. Obama is anti american and his every action of late has only confirmed this in my mind.

Obama is the worst president that america ever had, huh…all that in only 3 months? Wow…what did he do to deserve that title…was it the continuation of the bail outs brought on initially by the Bush administration? Could be…was it the rolling back of the Bush tax cuts? More likely, but do you think that individual is going to see an increase in his taxes? Doubtful…because that only pertains to people making over 250k/yr. and there’s not a whole lot of them around(respectively), and I seriously doubt that guy makes over 250k, just an observation but I am probably correct in my observation. I think the reason why this individual calls Obama the worst president in American history is because the man is Black, once again an observation, but I believe a very good one.

As I have said many many times before…I dislike Obama’s policies at this point. I think he is a good person but I don’t think he is doing all that needs to be done. I think he started off in the right direction but he is wanting too much bi-partisanship, but you can’t get anything done that way. The Dems have the majority and they need to use it just like the Republicans did when they had the majority. This is a complete and total embarassment for our party, given the fact that they will not vote with each other and instead bicker and argue amongst themselves. I do not wish them to become completely one-sided but I don’t think they should be completely down the middle, either.

I apologize for the length of the post but I had a lot to say on this matter and a lot of things to point out. There are many individuals that do not research enough things to know what the actual truth is. When will it ever end. I keep running across news stories about Sarah Palin running in 2012. It was bad enough this highly un-intelligent woman was running for vice president in the last election. It will be substantially worse if she runs in 2012. I just have a few things to rant about and then I will be done.

Sarah Palin didn’t know what NAFTA stood for…you know…North American Free Trade Agreement…I also recall in an interview when Palin said “……..as for that vp talk all the time. I tell ya’ I still can’t answer that question until somebody
answers for me, what is it exactly that the VP does everyday. ”

I understand that no one can really “know” what they do, until they’re there, but why would you say that? Why wouldn’t you just ask the current vice president….

This is a woman from a state that charges rape victims for the rape kits to prove that they were raped. I just find it to be a mockery of our presidential elections and the position of the presidency that she would stand up there with that ignorant, fake smile and act like she is fit to be the leader of this nation. I find it even more disturbing that she had any followers at all.

I’m happy that Mccain and Palin did not win, but it is still absolutely ridiculous that she was even allowed on the ticket.

This act among others eventually led to the Revolutionary War and then alowed the United States to become its own nation that would eventually form its own government and it’s own rule of law. This became very important after The British Government passed a few acts to punish the States for it’s disregard for taxation. The Boston Port Act, being of the first, which closed down the Boston port until the India Tea company received all of its money and the British Government Received its Taxes.

The Massachusetts Government Act created even more outrage than the Port Act because it unilaterally altered the government of Massachusetts to bring it under control of the British government. Under the terms of the Government Act, almost all positions in the colonial government were to be appointed by the governor or the king. The act also severely limited the activities of town meetings in Massachusetts. Colonists outside Massachusetts feared that their governments could now also be changed by the legislative fiat of Parliament.

There were several other Acts that the parliament enacted to try and get the U.S. to “conform,” but did little in the way of doing that. The people here actually formed the First Continental Congress, which met briefly to consider the newly found continents options, such as a boycott, a redress of grievances and forming rights. This was unsuccessful and eventually led to the Second Continental Congress, which met to discuss how to organize, defensively against the British Forces.

These people were trying to protect their livelihoods. They were being taxed by a different country but were given no part of the economic benefits from the Brits.

The point I’m making in all of this is to show how the use of the “Tea Party” is like calling a bill “No Child Left Behind” and then not funding it, which actually left children behind. The people that are protesting are protesting that our Government is over-representing the majority of Americans, which are the middle class and the poor. The New “Tea Party” is actually upset that Barack Obama will be putting the Tax system back to the way it was under Clinton, which will raise wealthy taxes, and lower middle class and poor taxes. The thing that really Baffles me is that these people protesting the lowering of middle class taxes are mostly middle Classers….except for the people actually running the show. Newt, Rush, Sean Hannity among others are actually very very wealthy individuals. If my memory serves me correctly, Rush Limbaugh just signed another 400 Million dollar contract.

In summary, the wealthy people have been able to manipulate the minds of the Right-wingers, trying to get the mass of people to speak up for the few. This is completely insane but you would probably never be able to change their minds about anything because for one, a lot of those people are Racist, Bible Thumpers that feel, somehow, Jesus hated poor people and only the Rich should be taken care of. This is simply not true. If Jesus was anything, he was a spokesperson for the less-fortunate. Here is where I come to the conclusion regarding Jesus.

The Final Judgment

This simply tells me that Jesus would’ve been considered very socialist in his views. My philosophy has always been, take care of the majority of people and the rest will fall in to place. I was able to make this assumption without having read the bible, but when I was showed these verse’s from the Bible, it then compounded my theory.
